Billing
Cauldron bills on two things, and only two: a plan, which sets how much storage your studio has, and credits, which pay for what you generate. People are never counted. Brands, campaigns, review, and connected AI tools are part of every plan.
Find it at Settings → Billing, available to studio Owners and Admins.
| Plan | Price | Storage | Credits to start |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solo | $39 a month | 1 TB | 500 |
| Pro | $99 a month | 5 TB | 1,000 |
| Agency | $199 a month | 15 TB | 2,000 |
The plans differ by storage and nothing else. Every plan has every tool, every brand, and review. Plans are billed monthly.
Pick by the size of your library, not the size of your team.
Seats are free
Section titled “Seats are free”Invite everyone. Seats are free and unlimited on every plan — Owners, Admins, and Members alike — so adding a teammate never changes your bill. A studio of two and a studio of forty on the same plan pay the same.
Clients and reviewers are free too, and they don’t need an account. A client who only needs to see and sign off on work reviews through a shared campaign link rather than a place in your member list.
See Members & roles for who belongs in the studio proper.
Credits
Section titled “Credits”Generation runs on prepaid credits. That covers images and video alike, wherever they’re made: the studio, Workflows, the in-app assistant, and connected AI tools. The one-click tools — Upscale, Enhance, Extend, Erase, Remove background — run on credits too.
- One credit is one cent.
- You see the cost first. Each model shows what it costs in credits before you run it, and so does each tool. For video, the cost follows the length of the clip.
- A run draws down what it costs to make, doubled. That’s the whole formula. Because it follows what models cost to run, a credit cost can change over time; the number you’re shown is always current.
- Credits never expire.
- A failed run isn’t charged. Nor is a tool run that hands back a result you already have.
- Resize is free. It’s plain pixel math rather than a model, so there’s nothing to charge for.
Credits belong to the studio, not to a person. Everyone who creates draws from the same balance.
Credits to start
Section titled “Credits to start”Each plan comes with credits included: 500 on Solo, 1,000 on Pro, 2,000 on Agency. They’re added once, when your studio’s plan first activates. They aren’t a monthly allowance, and switching plans or restarting a plan later doesn’t add them again. After that, you pay only for what you use.
Adding credits
Section titled “Adding credits”Add credits in packs of $10, $25, $50, or $100 from the billing page. A $10 pack is 1,000 credits.
When credits run out
Section titled “When credits run out”If your balance can’t cover a run, it’s refused before it starts and you’re told the shortfall. You never half-spend on something that won’t finish.
At zero, generation and the paid tools pause until someone adds credits. Everything that doesn’t cost anything to run carries on — your library, review, sharing, and Resize. Owners and Admins get an email when the studio drops below 200 credits, and another if the balance reaches zero.
Storage
Section titled “Storage”Your plan’s storage is shared by the whole studio. The billing page shows how much you’re using against it.
Originals and web previews count toward storage. Thumbnails don’t.
Past your plan, storage is $20 per TB per month. Going over never blocks an upload, deletes anything, or locks your studio, and nothing is added to your bill automatically — the Cauldron team gets in touch first. Owners and Admins get an email when the studio reaches 80% of its plan, so there’s time to move up a plan or clear out what you don’t need.
Managing your plan
Section titled “Managing your plan”From Settings → Billing you can start a plan, add credits, and open the payment portal. In the portal you can switch plans, update your card, see invoices, or cancel.
Payments are handled by Stripe. Changes show in your studio as soon as they’re confirmed, and Stripe emails your receipts and invoices separately.
When a plan ends
Section titled “When a plan ends”If you cancel, or a plan lapses, generation, tools, and uploads pause. Nothing is deleted: your library, brands, team, and review links all stay where they are. Unused credits remain, and they’re there when you come back.
Restart from Settings → Billing whenever you’re ready.
Daily limits are separate
Section titled “Daily limits are separate”Each person also has a daily creation limit — 50 a day unless an admin changes it. It exists to stop runaway loops, not to meter you, and it has nothing to do with credits.
